Types of Stainless Steel

Austenitic Stainless Steel

• High chromium and nickel content
• Excellent corrosion resistance and heat resistance
• Common grades include 304, 316, etc.

Martensitic Stainless Steel

• Higher carbon content and lower chromium content
• Excellent hardness and wear resistance
• Common grades include 410, 420, etc.

Austenitic-Martensitic Stainless Steel

• Combines properties of austenitic and martensitic stainless steel
• Excellent strength and corrosion resistance
• Common grades include 2205, 2507, etc.

Characteristics of Stainless Steel

Corrosion Resistance

• Forms a passive film to resist oxidation and corrosion
• Suitable for harsh environments such as moisture, saltwater, etc.

• Excellent mechanical properties and tensile strength
• Suitable for structural applications and high-pressure situations

l  High Temperature Resistance

• Maintains strength and structural stability at elevated temperatures

• Smooth surface facilitates easy cleaning and prevents bacterial growth
