CNC machining involves milling, turning, EDM, stamping, extruding or surface grinding process, to name just a few.  CNC machined parts are produced by going through at least one of these machining processes which are controlled by a computer programmed in accordance with elaborate designs.  CNC machining lathes can go so far as to carry out multi-dimensional tasks in just one setup.

Traditional lathes 

Traditional lathes are operated manually, when a large group of machinists work in cooperation to carefully adjust machining tools and levers and then press a button to start the equipment, but those half-automatic lathes just can’t keep pace with modern-day industrial development.

 

By contrast, once CNC lathes are programmed, turning and milling tools will be working accordingly, which significantly save much labor and time, not to mention the fact that CNC machining lathes reach a precision level traditional lathes can’t parallel.
